Muskegon River Steelhead and Smallmouth Bass fishing

Steelhead fishing has been decent lately with some really good days and some tough days mixed in.  I would say that the Steelhead run is winding down on most rivers, we have not seen very many fresh fish showing up and we are catching more and more drop backs everyday.  The Grand is really high and dirty, I would not go near it at the current level.  The Muskegon has been at a good level with good clarity.

As much as I love Steelhead I am looking forward to some other species.  Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, and Skamania are right around the corner so if you want to get out on the river or lake let me know and we can get a date set up.  I will be offering Smallmouth trips this summer out of both my jet boat and a 3 person Stealth craft fishing raft.  The raft will be great for getting into some smaller water that is not accessible in a jet boat.
